Assistant Product Developer (3-4 days per week)

We’re looking for a creative, passionate and small business savvy assistant product developer to join us at The Sourcing Duo on a 3-4 day a week part time basis.

Based in Seaford, Bayside/Peninsula, we are a leading design and development agency that provides fashion forward support to small to medium fashion businesses worldwide. We design, manufacture, and consult across multiple product categories with our vast range of client portfolios including activewear, swimwear, ladieswear, & kidswear. From design, sampling and finished production we bring our clients vision to life.

The successful candidate will work along side our team and director assisting with development of range plans, technical drawings, pulling fabrics, booking shipments and helping keeping our clients project running smoothly.

This role is suitable for a variety of candidates depending on your experience, ability to draw technical sketches and have the ability to work within a team or independently in your skill set and experience.

If you have a can-do attitude, love diving in and are confident in your work/skills along aide joining in some office chatter, you will fit right in!

Your day to day in this role will include:

• Assist with putting together final range plans and line sheets

• Producing technical drawings

• Collating Fabric, Trim and Strike off Submissions / Approvals

• Coordinating the booking of fit models (if required)

• Researching and presenting trend boards

• Assisting in design, fitting or production meetings (if required)

• Booking DHL and Australia Post Parcels as required

• Assisting with scaling, design and print graphics (if required)

Things we are looking for are:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred, particularly working in the fashion landscape.
• Intermediate Illustrator skills
• Great multi-tasking skills by being organised and self-motivated
• Comfortable being in-front of the camera and apart of our social media/marketing strategy
• An Eye for detail and accuracy is essential
• Intermediate understanding of garment construction, fabrics & fit
• Technical pack creation and previous experience in a similar role are considered a bonus
