Assistant Production Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to support the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This position will work closely with the Production Manager to oversee production, manage employees, monitor schedules, and ensure orders are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing and supervisory experience and be comfortable working directly on the production floor.

Duties

• Assist the Production Manager with daily production operations.
• Supervise and coordinate production employees and daily assignments.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure orders are completed on time.
• Help resolve production, equipment, and employee issues as they arise.
• Monitor product quality and ensure company standards are maintained.
• Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with training and overseeing production employees.
• Monitor materials and supplies needed for production.
• Communicate production status, delays, and issues to management.
• Assist with improving production efficiency and workflow.
• Step in and assist with production when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong understanding of day-to-day manufacturing and production operations.
• Ability to lead, manage, and hold employees accountable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple production needs at once.
• Ability to identify and resolve production issues.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software and production systems.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional manufacturing or management experience preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
