The Faculty of Pharmacy at Kanazawa University strives to enhance education and research in pharmacy.

To strengthen the research organization promoting the research project "Sustainable Chemistry Research"

listed in the pharmaceutical field, we invite applications for one position as an Assistant Professor in the

Laboratory of Clinical and Analytical Sciences to the following guidelines.

1. Position

Assistant Professor (Female), 5-year fixed-term contract (further renewal is possible)

Examination Matters in making a decision on the approval for reappointment

・Educational activities, including the status and activity of guidance for students

・Research activities, including publications, conference presentations, and research funding status

2. Job description

(1) Education

・Lectures of general education courses of bachelor's programs

・Lectures, seminars, practical training, and graduation research at the School of Pharmacy and the

School of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences

・Specialized education and research guidance for students at the Graduate School of Medical Sciences

You may be required to teach classes in English.

(2) Research

Basic and applied research based on development of molecular probes for diagnosis and therapy of

various diseases.

3. Scheduled starting date of employment

As early as possible on and after April 1st, 2027

4. Qualification requirements

・Applicant must have a doctoral degree at the latest by the time the appointment begins.

・Applicant must have enough experience in the field of molecular probe development and be able to

promote high-level education and research.

・Applicant should be passionate about teaching at the undergraduate and graduate (master’s and doctoral)

levels.

5. Required documents

(1) Curriculum vitae (A4 or US letter size with an attached photo and showing E-mail address and

academic society you belong to)

(2) Summary of previous research (free format within 2 pages of A4 or US letter size)

(3) Plan and commitment to education in pharmaceutical sciences and research (free format within 2

pages of A4 or US letter size)

(4) Achievement list (A4 or US letter size)

・Publications: Classify them into original papers, reviews, books, and list them in order of publication

year (Mark the original papers for which reprints are to be submitted). List the names of all co-authors

in the order of publication, underline the applicant, and put a star mark on the corresponding author.

For reference, the number of citations and the latest Impact Factor of the published journal should be

added, and if paper is not peer-reviewed, please indicate that.

・Conference presentations: List in order of year of presentation

・Acquisition status of research funds: Divide the research funds obtained over the past 10 years into the

following categories: Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI), grants for public research

other than KAKENHI, and research funds by companies and foundations, etc. List the funding name,

name of the research project, duration, and grant amount. Also, clearly state the principal investigator

or co-investigators.

(5) PDF files of 5 most significant research articles

(6) The names, affiliations, addresses, phone numbers, and E-mail addresses of two referees

Applicants may be asked to come to Kanazawa University for interviews. Applicants must bear the

expenses incurred in that case. Personal information is protected by the relevant Japanese law.
