Assistant Professor - Physiotherapy

Roles & responsibilities:

• Deliver theory and practical physiotherapy classes.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and competency-based learning modules.
• Conduct laboratory demonstrations and skill-based training.
• Develop innovative teaching methodologies using simulation and digital learning tools.
• Participate in curriculum planning, implementation, and academic quality initiatives.
• Supervise students during clinical postings in affiliated hospitals.
• Train students in evidence-based physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation techniques.
• Guide students in patient evaluation, treatment planning, documentation, and ethical clinical practice.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for clinical education.
• Participate in conferences, workshops, seminars, and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs).
• Assist in examinations, admissions, accreditation, and departmental activities.
• Maintain academic and clinical records as per university requirements.
• Participate in outreach programmes, health camps, and community rehabilitation initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Strong knowledge of physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation techniques.
• Competency in evidence-based clinical practice.
• Excellent classroom teaching and practical demonstration skills.
• Clinical supervision and student mentoring.
• Research methodology and scientific writing.

Experience:

• 03 years of teaching and/or clinical experience after MPT.
• Fresh postgraduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in higher education institutions or NABH-accredited hospitals will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification (As per NCAHP):

Candidates should possess: -

• Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) - (Musculoskeletal ) in a recognized specialization from a recognized University/Institution.
• Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the State Physiotherapy Council (where applicable) or other competent statutory authority, if mandated by state regulations.
