Role Overview: Dayananda Sagar University invites applications from qualified and motivated academicians for Assistant Professor positions in the School of Commerce and Management for its undergraduate programmes. The selected candidates will contribute to teaching, academic delivery, student mentoring, curriculum development and academic activities in their respective areas of specialisation.

Specialisations and Eligibility Requirements

I. Business Analytics – 1 Position

• Essential Qualification: M.Com/MBA and Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Required Skills: Knowledge of Python and R.
• Preferred Profile: Ability to teach business analytics, data-driven decision-making and quantitative business applications.

II. Digital Marketing – 1 Position

• Essential Qualification: M.Com/MBA and Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Required Certification: Digital Marketing certifications.
• Preferred Profile: Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, social media marketing, SEO/SEM, digital campaigns and marketing analytics.

III. FinTech – 1 Position

• Essential Qualification: M.Com/MBA and Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Required Skills: Knowledge of Financial Technology (FinTech).
• Preferred Profile: Understanding of digital payments, financial technology platforms, fintech applications and emerging trends in digital finance.

IV. Supply Chain Management – 1 Position

• Essential Qualification: M.Com/MBA in a relevant discipline.
• Preferred Qualification/Experience: Certifications in Supply Chain Management and/or relevant industry experience.
• Preferred Profile: Knowledge of supply chain operations, logistics, procurement, inventory management and operations management.

V. Accounting – 3 Positions

• Essential Qualification: M.Com and Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Required Skills: Strong subject knowledge in Accounting.
• Preferred Profile: Ability to teach financial accounting, management accounting, cost accounting and related undergraduate subjects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures for undergraduate students in the assigned specialisation.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments and assessments.
• Apply practical, case-based and industry-oriented teaching methodologies.
• Develop and update course content in line with academic requirements and industry developments.
• Mentor students and support their academic progress and professional development.
• Evaluate student performance, maintain academic records and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, academic events and institutional initiatives.
• Contribute to research, publications, consultancy and other scholarly activities, as applicable.
• Support internships, industry interactions, projects and experiential learning initiatives.
• Uphold the academic standards, policies and values of Dayananda Sagar University.
