Assistant Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer management efforts, including recruitment, training, supervision, and recognition of volunteers
• Support program development by collecting data, tracking outcomes, and preparing reports to evaluate effectiveness
• Engage with community partners through outreach activities, meetings, and collaborative projects to foster strong relationships
• Manage social media platforms and marketing materials to promote programs and increase community awareness
• Facilitate public speaking engagements at community events to inform and inspire diverse audiences
• Oversee grassroots organizing efforts to mobilize community members around health initiatives, youth programs, or social services
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, client communication, and maintaining records
• Support addiction counseling initiatives by coordinating resources and providing information to participants when appropriate
• Ensure safety protocols are followed by maintaining CPR certification and adhering to health guidelines during program activities

Experience

• Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams or groups within community settings
• Strong background in program development, project management, or community outreach work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences through public speaking or presentations
• Familiarity with social media management tools and marketing strategies for community engagement campaigns
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations in public health or social services contexts
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with community partners and grassroots organizations
• Knowledge of addiction counseling principles, public health practices, or youth programming is highly desirable
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve multilingual communities
• Organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Technical proficiency in data collection tools or software used for program evaluation and reporting

Pay: $19.75 - $25.00 per hour
