About Design Line

Design Line builds complex architectural homes with high design standards, exacting detail, and challenging site conditions across the San Francisco Bay Area, Marin County, Sonoma Wine Country, and beyond.

Our work requires disciplined execution, strong collaboration with architects, owner’s representatives, and consultants, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. Through Concierge by Design Line, we also provide ongoing care and stewardship for sophisticated residences, estates, and family properties with tailored, high-touch service.

Our culture is grounded in competence, ethical decision-making, respect, a supportive team environment, and authentic communication.

The Role

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the financial management and administrative operations for our high-end residential construction projects. Working under the direct guidance of the Project Manager (PM) and Senior Project Manager (SPM), you will operate with autonomy, sharp professional judgment, and accountability as a key project partner. In this analytical position, you drive project precision by overseeing and collaborating with the Project Administrator (PA) to ensure seamless office and administrative workflows. Together, you maintain rigorous standards across job costing, trade partner agreements, change order execution, budget forecasting, and document control.

  • Review and reconcile subcontractor invoices against contractual scopes of work
  • Maintain absolute project document control—managing RFIs, submittals, and design decisions
  • Upload drawings and revisions to Procore
  • Collaborate closely with the Concierge Department to compile comprehensive Homeowner’s Manuals (HOM) and development of a tailored yearly maintenance plan for completed residences

Client & Partner Interaction

Operating as a reliable bridge between Design Line and external partners, you cultivate strong relationships with clients, owner’s representatives, architects, and trade partners. Under the guidance of the Project Manager, you handle sensitive project communications, financial updates, and technical inquiries with exceptional professionalism, clarity, and a solution-driven mindset.

Quality, Integrity & Craftsmanship

At Design Line, our reputation is built on an unwavering commitment to execution. We believe that true craftsmanship extends beyond visible finishes—it lives in the precision of our financial reporting, the clarity of our project submittals, and the accuracy of our schedule forecasting. For the APM, integrity means managing project documentation and financial budgets with total transparency and rigorous attention to detail.
