Assistant Project Manager

Reporting to Chief Investment Officer, you will support end-to-end projects for our logistics investment and operations across Africa. Working closely with internal stakeholders, local teams, and external partners, you will help deliver practical solutions that improve operational efficiency, service quality, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Support logistics and supply chain projects across African markets, including fleet acquisition and operation, warehouse and land development, distribution and supply chain management initiatives.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and market analysis to support investment and operational decisions.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, timelines, and performance indicators, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Work with local and international partners, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare detailed status updates, dashboards, kanban, and presentation materials for senior management.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, optimize and debottleneck existing business flows and processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Travel regularly to project sites in Africa as required.
• Support ad-hoc projects/initiatives.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• MBA, PMP, Six Sigma certification, Prosci certification a plus.
• 3 to 5 years of project management experience; ideally in logistics, distribution, or transportation industries.
• Experience managing projects in African or other emerging markets is an advantage
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills across cultures.
• Demonstrated experience in applying AI tools and technologies to enhance work efficiency and/or workflow automation.
• Committed to achieving results and maintaining high safety and ethical standards.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin .
• Willingness to travel extensively across African operational sites .
