Assistant Project Manager

Chevalier (Construction) Company Limited has actively participated in many development projects in Hong Kong since the 1980s. Those projects include the redevelopment of public housing estates, the Private Sector Participation Scheme for the Hong Kong Housing Authority, construction of school buildings for primary, secondary and tertiary institutes, and a range of commercial, industrial, residential and shopping arcade projects for the private sector.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in leading the team, monitoring and supervising various projects, including but not limited to project administration, project cost control and project management
• Frequent and effective liaison and communication with clients, main contractors, sub-contractors and government regularly on project progress and performance
• Ensure all construction activities are complied with contractual requirements, local Government ordinances and relevant statutory requirements
• Handle, analysis and overcome project challenges
• Provide direction to the team and master the program, manpower, materials and plant schedule

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in Civil Engineering / Building Studies / Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry
• Membership of relevant professional institutions such as HKIE, CIOB, HKICM, HKIS is preferred
• Good knowledge of computer application in MS Office, MS Project and AutoCAD
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Strong sense of project ownership and proactive attitude
• Mature, self-motivated, independent and willing to work under pressure
• Enthusiastic about the job and strong career mind
