What they need
The Bridge Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience supporting construction and move management projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has spent approximately 2–3 years in a Project Coordinator or similar role and is ready to take the next step in their career.
The Assistant Project Manager will support and manage a variety of projects for our clients, working closely with Project Managers, client teams, contractors, vendors, and other project partners. Initially, the role will focus on smaller projects and defined project responsibilities, with the opportunity to take on increasingly complex assignments and greater project ownership over time.
This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility and a willingness to work where the projects are happening. Regular travel to client sites is required, and some project activities, particularly moves and construction-related work, may occur during evenings or weekends.
Responsibilities May Include
- Proactively manage project related issues on account or assignment
- Develop scope, schedule and budget for assigned projects and adhere to client KPI’s
- Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential risk surrounding project, project logistical issues, budget and scope
- Coordinate and track all Vendor Request for Proposals (“RFPs”)
- Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
- Prepare/update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials
- Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path
- Coordinate the activities of sub-contractors, general contractors and client vendors
- Ensure that all accounts receivable are maintained at a level not to exceed approved capital budgets.
- Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Conduct and document all weekly meetings on assigned projects
- Effectively use project management software and other technology tools required to manage project documentation, schedules, budgets, and communications
- Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Construction Coordinator, Move Coordinator, or in a similar project support role.
- Familiarity with commercial construction, tenant improvements, workplace projects, and/or move management.
- Understanding of basic project management processes, including schedules, budgets, meeting documentation, action tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, movers, furniture installers, or other project partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients and project stakeholders in a professional environment.
- Proactive, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues or seek guidance.
- Comfortable working in an environment where responsibilities and project complexity will increase over time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with project management software is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability and willingness to travel regularly to client and project sites.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends based on project requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
