Assistant Project Manager

About the role

This role involves assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of property development projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. You will provide support across design, budget management, stakeholder coordination, and site supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of property development projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
• Assist in reviewing and approving architectural designs and drawings. Provide input on design modifications to meet project requirements
• Help prepare and monitor project budgets. Track expenses and assist in cost control
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, consultants, and authorities to facilitate smooth project progression
• Support in sourcing materials and services. Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor construction quality and adherence to standards
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, prepare regular progress reports, and present updates to senior management
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address issues. Assist in resolving on-site challenges promptly
• Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on risk factors throughout the project

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years in property development or construction project management
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g. AutoCAD, 3D Sketch up, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
• Strong skills in project management, cost estimation, budgeting, and feasibility analysis
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and overseas and adapt to dynamic project requirements
