As an Assistant Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of exciting and challenging construction projects while working closely with the Project Manager and field team. This role is designed for someone who wants responsibility, takes initiative, works hard, and is motivated to grow into a strong project leader. We offer a competitive compensation package, opportunities for career advancement, and exposure to a diverse range of projects and clients. We are seeking a driven construction professional who is ready to step up, solve problems, and help lead projects to successful outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take an active role in subcontractor procurement, buyout, and follow-through in support of the Project Manager.
  • Obtain material quotes from suppliers, evaluate options, and submit purchase orders for approval.
  • Own assigned project administration, coordination, and close-out responsibilities and follow items through to completion.
  • Assist the Project Manager with PM Web project coordination and proactively identify items requiring action.
  • Manage assigned construction documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, notifications, and correspondence with accuracy and urgency.
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings as assigned and communicate clearly with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Prepare project-specific meeting minutes, track action items, and hold responsible parties accountable for follow-up.
  • Provide onsite assistance to the field team as necessary and take ownership of resolving project issues.
  • Provide project-specific training and support to team members as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, leadership, teamwork, and employee development.
  • Take initiative without waiting to be asked; anticipate project needs, raise concerns early, and bring solutions forward.
  • Demonstrate leadership by taking responsibility for assigned work, meeting commitments, and helping drive the project team toward results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary based on project needs and may fall outside normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work may occur during evenings and weekends based on project requirements.

Qualifications

  • A two-to-four-year degree in construction, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant construction experience will also be considered.
  • Working knowledge of construction practices, project coordination, and the ability to learn FINFROCK processes quickly.
  • Willingness to work the hours and travel required to support project commitments and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and dependable, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to take on increasing responsibility.
  • Comfortable making decisions, communicating expectations, and holding yourself and others accountable.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a desire to grow into a Project Manager role.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.

Benefits
