Assistant Project Manager

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

We’re looking for an experienced A ssistant Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer to support ground-up construction projects in St. Louis with an established national general contractor.

This is a strong opportunity for an early-career construction professional ready to take on greater project ownership and continue progressing toward a Project Manager role. The company works across a diverse range of project types and is open to candidates from a variety of construction backgrounds.

What You’ll Do:

• Support projects from preconstruction through completion
• Assist with estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project execution
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation
• Support subcontractor bidding, selection, and buyout
• Track project costs, schedules, materials, and overall progress
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, owners, design teams, and subcontractors
• Participate in project meetings and help resolve day-to-day construction challenges
• Assist with quality control, closeout documentation, and turnover
• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5+ years of construction experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role
• General contractor experience strongly preferred
• Design-build construction experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Motivation to take on additional responsibility and grow into a Project Manager position
