Assistant Project Manager

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI data annotation projects — CV (2D/3D image annotation), NLP (text classification, NER), and LLM data collection/RLHF
• Break down project plans, assign tasks, track progress, and run post-implementation reviews to hit deadlines, quality bars, and volume targets
• Manage a mix of in-house, BPO, and crowd teams — dynamically allocating resources based on data sensitivity, language needs, timelines, and budget
• Monitor annotation quality, troubleshoot issues with team leads, and turn raw data into actionable reports for resource and planning decisions
• Translate algorithm/product team requirements into clear, executable task specifications
• Keep stakeholders in the loop — regular progress updates, expectation management, and scope/priority changes
• Collaborate across departments and regions, syncing closely with the China-based Project Manager
• Maintain organized documentation — project plans, annotation specs, meeting notes, quality reports, and more
• Support the PM with customer communication, budget tracking, and day-to-day team coordination

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Linguistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Fluent in English + one other language (Romanian, Hungarian, German, or French preferred)
• 1–3 years' experience in AI data annotation operations and team management
• Solid understanding of 2D/3D/point cloud/LiDAR/text annotation processes and standards
• Experience managing in-house teams of 50+, and/or vendor/crowd team management
• Comfortable with annotation tools like Label Studio, CVAT, or VGG Image Annotator
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum or Waterfall project methodologies (PMP/CAPM a plus)
• Sharp eye for detail and a strong quality mindset
• Confident in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or Tableau/Power BI knowledge a bonus
• Great communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-regional environment
