Assistant Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support our team in building Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). This role involves assisting with project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure timely and quality delivery of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating all phases of ADU construction projects from inception to completion.
• Support project managers in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Help oversee daily on-site activities to ensure work is performed according to specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
• Communicate regularly with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project flow.
• Track project progress, document issues or delays, and assist in resolving any challenges that arise during construction.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and records for internal use and client updates.
• Support procurement processes by sourcing materials and coordinating deliveries as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• Prior experience or strong interest in construction management or related fields; experience building ADUs is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office Suite; familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for site visits.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
