Assistant Project Manager (ERSS Construction)

• Working Hours: 6 days per week
• Working Location: Project Site-Based

Job Description

• Manage an LTA project site or multiple private sector projects
• Oversee and supervise overall project execution and site activities
• Liaise with clients, designers, and consultants on design specifications and feasibility
• Coordinate with logistics and machinery departments to ensure smooth operations
• Propose and implement effective work methods and construction strategies
• Provide technical expertise and recommend improvements for project efficiency
• Lead and manage the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective completion
• Monitor project progress and performance against short-term and long-term goals
• Identify and manage project risks to minimize potential issues
• Ensure proper allocation and utilization of manpower on-site
• Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with approved specifications
• Review project progress and work closely with quantity surveyors on cost control
• Ensure all necessary approvals from relevant authorities are obtained before commencement
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in civil engineering, excavation, ERSS, temporary works or construction.
• Experience in ERSS works such as sheet piling, strutting, waling and excavation is preferred.
• Good project coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and under tight project deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction safety requirements and site practices.

Skills and Knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
• Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling
