ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER-FIBER OPTIC

• Assist Project Manager in overseeing fibre optic projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Assist Project Manager with the planning, organization and rollout of all the fibre activities to ensure timely deliveries of projects.
• Supervises and directs the activities of assigned contractors; coordinates, prioritizes and assigns tasks and projects; tracks and reviews work progress and activities.
• Maintains liaison and directs coordination with other District's departments, various utility, governmental agency and departmental staff; ensures that all codes and regulations are met in assigned projects.
• Assists with the supervision of contracts with and confers with subcontractors and government's staff; schedules projects; provides technical oversight, inspects work in progress and ensures that all work complies with contract specifications and applicable codes and standards.
• Assist Project Manager in providing regular update to the customers and attend the customers’ meetings.
• Directs the maintenance of accurate records and files and prepares a variety of routine, periodic and special reports and correspondence.
• Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of own team/organization to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a team.
• Represents the company with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff and the public.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standard.

Job Qualification:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the fiber optic infrastructure industry.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Basic knowledge on AutoCAD and Google Earth
• Proficiency with Computer use (Conversion of file, email, fast typing)
