Assistant Project Manager (Infrastructure Maintenance)

About the role

Eureka Waja Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Project Manager (Infrastructure Maintenance) to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. You will work closely with the Project Manager, site teams, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations and effective maintenance delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing infrastructure maintenance projects, including roads, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, manpower, equipment, and resources to ensure timely completion of maintenance works.
• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repair works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess infrastructure conditions, identify defects, and recommend appropriate maintenance solutions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and review maintenance schedules, work progress reports, technical documentation, and project updates for Management.
• Assist in tender preparation, cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and budget monitoring.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved specifications, contractual requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Identify potential project risks, operational issues, and maintenance challenges, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the Project Manager in managing project deliverables, resolving site issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in civil construction, infrastructure maintenance, or project management.
• Experience in infrastructure maintenance works, particularly roads, drainage systems, or other civil infrastructure, will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance operations, site supervision, and project coordination.
• Good understanding of project planning, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Project and AutoCAD will be an advantage.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently, coordinate multiple site activities, and meet project deadlines.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.
