Job Tittle: Assistant Purchase Officer

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in processing purchase requisitions received from medical, nursing, pharmacy,

and other departments

· Obtain and compare quotations from approved vendors

· Prepare purchase orders (POs) after approval

· Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of medical supplies, consumables, and

equipment

· Ensure purchased items meet hospital quality and specification standards

· Maintain proper procurement records, files, and documentation

· Coordinate with store and accounts departments for invoices, and payments

· Support vendor evaluation and maintain an updated vendor list

· Ensure compliance with hospital policies, audit requirements, and regulatory

standards

· Assist in emergency or urgent purchases as required

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commerce, or relevant

field

· Preference given to candidates with healthcare procurement experience

Experience

• 1–3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of medical items, consumables, and hospital supplies
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good command of MS Excel, Word, and procurement software
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
• Professional attitude and teamwork
