Assistant Purchaser

About the role

WONG KAH KWEE WORKSHOP SDN BHD is seeking an Assistant Purchaser. This is a full-time position based in Masai, Johor. As an Assistant Purchaser, you will play a vital role in supporting our procurement operations and contributing to the efficient sourcing and acquisition of materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers to meet company procurement requirements

• Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability

• Conduct price comparisons and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive rates and favourable terms

• Maintain accurate records of invoices and key into system

What we're looking for

• Diploma

• Familiar in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
