Assistant Purchaser - Construction

Position Overview

Structural Engineering & Construction is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Purchaser to support construction purchasing and procurement activities. This role will assist with sourcing materials, coordinating orders, maintaining records, and supporting project and purchasing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing construction materials and supplies
• Request and review pricing from vendors and suppliers
• Help prepare and process purchase orders
• Track orders and delivery schedules
• Maintain purchasing records and documentation
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and project team members
• Assist with inventory and material coordination
• Support other purchasing and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing, construction, or administrative experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable using computers and office software
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $33.21 - $40.00 per hour
