Assistant Purchasing Manager (Procurement System)

Your Role

• Support the Business Unit's procurement activities throughout the procurement lifecycle, ensuring operational efficiency and business requirements are met.
• Manage and enhance procurement systems, departmental websites, and digital solutions to improve procurement and warehouse operations.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and implement system enhancements to improve workflow efficiency and project delivery.
• Act as the key contact point for procurement system users, coordinating with IT and stakeholders to resolve issues and support system enhancements.
• Develop procurement dashboards, reports, and data analysis to support management decision-making.
• Conduct spend analysis, vendor performance analysis, and procurement reporting to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure procurement operations and system processes comply with corporate policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

To Succeed in This Role

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement systems, business analysis, digital solutions, or procurement operations.
• Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, MS Office applications, SharePoint, and web technologies such as HTML, ASP, JavaScript, or similar platforms.
• Experience in system enhancement, workflow automation, reporting, and data analytics.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, spend analysis, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, Python, or similar technologies will be an advantage.
