Otium Bangkok is actively looking for a junior candidate to fill the full-time position of Assistant Purchasing , in Bangkok, Thailand.

Our activity lies within supplying coloured gemstones to local and international manufacturing companies. Our dynamic team is headed by the company’s two founders who are both Swiss nationals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who will be flexible with their tasks and who is keen to learn. The candidate will assist the Heads of purchasing in day to day purchases and stock management, including but not limited to:

• Assist the team with gemstone purchasing
• Contact suppliers and negotiate prices
• Maintain records of prices and supplier information
• Manage and maintain stock records
• Follow up on orders and delivery status
• Check invoices and purchasing documents
• Perform other tasks related to procurement
• Support other team members and assist with various company tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• We are looking to hire a dynamic individual with a good knowledge of English.
• We are willing to offer training for a junior graduate with little or no experience within the gemstone industry.
• The candidate will be an organized, adaptable and motivated individual.
• Remuneration will be discussed during the interview.
