Assistant QA Engineer – Plastic Injection / Sheet Metal

Job Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on plastic injection parts OR sheet metal parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Smartscope systems for dimensional inspection.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor production processes and identify quality issues, deviations, or non-conformities.
• Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality improvement activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Support internal quality audits and quality system compliance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company quality and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of QA/Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates with experience in either plastic injection molding OR sheet metal fabrication are preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes and quality control methods.
• Advanced knowledge of CMM operation and Smartscope programming.
• Able to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and QA methodologies is an advantage.
