Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor specializing in Facilities to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the management of costs and budgets for maintenance and facilities projects. You will work closely with senior surveyors and project teams to ensure financial efficiency, control costs, and support the successful delivery of facilities services across various client assets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for facilities maintenance projects
• Support the procurement process by obtaining quotations, analyzing tenders, and managing supplier relationships
• Monitor project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to facilities projects
• Collaborate with project teams to track progress, update cost forecasts, and manage change orders
• Support contract administration activities including reviewing terms, processing variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
• Contribute to the development of cost control strategies to optimize resource allocation and project efficiency

Experience

• Previous experience or internship in quantity surveying, cost control, or facilities management is preferred
• Strong understanding of construction or maintenance project processes and financial management principles
• Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis and reporting
• Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with industry-specific software is a plus
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
