Assistant Research Scientist

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Research Scientist to support scientific research, experimentation, data analysis, and technical documentation. The role involves assisting with research projects, conducting experiments according to established methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to the development of reliable scientific findings.

The Assistant Research Scientist will work collaboratively with researchers, scientists, technical specialists, and project teams to support research activities from planning through reporting. Responsibilities include preparing experimental materials, operating laboratory or research equipment, maintaining accurate records, analyzing results, identifying relevant research information, and supporting the preparation of technical reports and presentations.

The position also involves reviewing scientific literature, documenting methodologies and observations, maintaining organized research data, and supporting quality and safety procedures. The Assistant Research Scientist should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, scientific curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established research protocols accurately and consistently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of scientific research principles, experimental methods, and data analysis.
• Ability to follow research protocols, experimental procedures, and established laboratory or technical methodologies.
• Familiarity with laboratory, research, analytical, or scientific equipment relevant to the research area.
• Strong understanding of data collection, organization, interpretation, and documentation.
• Ability to use statistical, analytical, spreadsheet, or scientific software for research data processing.
• Strong attention to detail when recording experimental procedures, observations, measurements, and results.
• Ability to conduct literature reviews and identify relevant scientific information from reliable sources.
• Familiarity with scientific reporting, technical documentation, research presentations, and data visualization.
• Understanding of laboratory safety, quality control, research ethics, and appropriate handling of research materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to investigating research questions.
• Ability to maintain accurate, organized, and traceable research records and datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present scientific information clearly.
