About Us:

Jakkalsvlei Private Cellar is a well-established Wine Estate & Restaurant near Mossel Bay, known for excellent food, wine and warm hospitality. We are looking for a dedicated and organised Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team and help lead our front-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily restaurant operations, including staff management and customer service

• Oversee inventory management and stock control

• Help with menu planning, food preparation and presentation

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

• Support senior management with administrative tasks and reporting

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with hygiene standards

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' working experience in the restaurant industry

• Previous managing experience will be a definite advantage

• Matric certificate (Grade 12)

• Valid driver's license with reliable transport

• Must reside in Mossel Bay, Dana Bay, or Herbertsdale

• Computer literate with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

• Working experience with a POS system, preferably GAAP

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Clean, well-groomed and presentable appearance

• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays

• Sober habits and a positive, professional attitude
