Assistant Restaurant Manager

TORA NYC is seeking a dependable and organized Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and the management team. This role involves assisting with staff coordination, guest service, service standards, scheduling, and routine operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate is professional, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily restaurant operations and service activities
• Support staff assignments and coordinate workflow during busy shifts
• Help supervise and support front-of-house team members
• Monitor guest service, order accuracy, and overall service standards
• Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching of team members
• Respond to guest questions and routine service concerns professionally
• Help coordinate reservations, seating, and guest flow when needed
• Monitor restaurant supplies and communicate inventory or restocking needs
• Support POS operations and routine cash-handling procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly prepared dining and service areas
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and company operating procedures
• Communicate staffing, guest-service, and operational needs to restaurant management

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food-service, or customer-service experience
• Previous supervisory, team-lead, or management experience is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable taking responsibility
• Able to manage multiple tasks during busy restaurant service
• Good attention to detail and customer-service skills
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operations is helpful
• Ability to support, train, and work effectively with a restaurant team

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
