Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Summary
Land Ocean Restaurant Meridian is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead daily restaurant operations and deliver a consistent, high-quality guest experience. This role supports the management team with staff leadership, service standards, scheduling, inventory, and overall restaurant performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily front-of-house and restaurant operations.
• Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of team members.
• Help coordinate staff schedules and maintain appropriate shift coverage.
• Monitor guest service and respond professionally to customer concerns.
• Support food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Assist with labor, inventory, and operating-cost control.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Help oversee opening, closing, and shift-management responsibilities.
• Communicate operational needs and staffing issues to restaurant leadership.
• Lead by example and promote teamwork during busy service periods.
• Assist with achieving sales, service, and operational goals.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience in a full-service or upscale-casual restaurant environment is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to coach and motivate restaurant staff.
• Comfortable handling guest concerns and operational challenges.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Land Ocean is part of a family-owned restaurant group with locations in Idaho, California, and Nevada, offering a full-service dining experience focused on steaks, seafood, cocktails, and guest service.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
