Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Summary

The Wilderness is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the management team with daily restaurant operations. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining high customer service standards, supporting smooth service, and helping ensure the restaurant operates efficiently.

Job Description

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise and support front-of-house and service staff.
• Help coordinate staff schedules, breaks, and daily assignments.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Monitor service quality and respond to customer questions or concerns.
• Support opening, closing, and cash-handling procedures.
• Help maintain food safety, hygiene, and health-and-safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory duties.
• Train and support new team members.
• Help manage busy service periods and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Step in for the Restaurant Manager when required.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent customer-service and organizational abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.

Pay: £17.00-£26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
