About the Position

An opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to step into an Assistant Restaurant Manager role within a quality regional operation. Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, you’ll help lead the team, maintain service standards, and ensure guests receive a consistently high level of service. At $70–75K + super, this role would suit a strong Supervisor or Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in their career.

Position Description

• Assist with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant
• Lead, coach, and support the FOH team
• Maintain high standards of service and presentation
• Support training and onboarding of new team members
• Monitor guest experience and handle customer feedback
• Assist with stock control, ordering and operational requirements
• Support the Food and Beverage Manager across a range of service outlets
• Ensure RSA, food safety and venue compliance standards are maintained
• Be hands-on during busy service periods

Position Requirements

• Previous Restaurant Supervisor, Assistant Manager or similar experience
• Strong background in quality restaurant, cafe or resort style operations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Sound understanding of restaurant service and operational standards
• Very strong beverage knowledge including beers, wines and cocktails
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm during busy service
• RSA > Food Safety Supervisor certificates required
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rotating basis
• Genuine interest in hospitality and delivering a strong guest experience
