Assistant Safety Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Safety Manager to join the Namchow (Thailand) Ltd. team on a full-time basis, based in Ratchaburi. This is a pivotal role within our Occupational Health & Safety function, designed to support the development and implementation of safety initiatives across our operations. As Assistant Safety Manager, you will work collaboratively with senior management to ensure our workplace maintains the highest standards of health and safety compliance, protecting our employees and supporting our commitment to operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage occupational safety, health, and workplace environment operations, including annual planning, establishment and coordination of the safety committee, employee safety training, health checkups for high-risk employees, inspection of fire protection equipment, and fire evacuation drills.

• Supporting the investigation of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions

• Providing guidance and training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and safe work practices

• Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, audits, and corrective actions

• Oversee and ensure compliance with Social Security Fund and Workmen’s Compensation Fund regulations in accordance with legal requirements.

• Assisting with the preparation of safety reports and documentation for management review and regulatory compliance

• Supporting the coordination of safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety awareness campaigns

• Liaising with external regulatory bodies and safety consultants as required

• Promoting a positive safety culture across the organisation and encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives

Qualifications :

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent experience demonstrating safety management competence

• Knowledge of Thai workplace safety regulations, laws, and standards applicable to industrial or commercial operations

• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey safety information clearly to diverse audiences

• Proficiency in English and Thai, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams at all levels of the organisation

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in safety performance
