Assistant SAP Support Manager

Role Overview The Assistant SAP Support Manager is responsible for leading SAP S/4HANA application support and maintenance services to ensure system availability, performance, and continuous improvement. The role oversees incident resolution, system enhancements, and support across core SAP modules while coordinating with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external service providers to ensure effective system operations.

Key Responsibilities 1. S/4HANA Operations & Incident Management

• Oversee the end-to-end support ticketing process, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), timely incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and problem management.
• Manage complex Level 2/3 support escalations in coordination with internal functional and technical teams and external implementation partners.
• Monitor system performance, database usage, background jobs, and system logs to identify and prevent potential disruptions.

2. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate SAP functional and technical support team members to ensure effective service delivery.
• Work with business unit leaders and process owners to align SAP S/4HANA capabilities with business requirements and operational needs.
• Manage enhancement requests, prioritize support backlogs, and coordinate system updates, upgrades, and new application releases.

3. System Configuration & Enhancement Management

• Oversee SAP module configurations, user authorizations, Fiori access, and master data governance.
• Coordinate unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, SAP Notes, and custom developments.
• Maintain up-to-date system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and records of system configurations and custom developments.

4. Innovation & Compliance

• Support the adoption and troubleshooting of SAP Fiori applications, embedded analytics, and digital business workflows.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, audit requirements, IT security, and change management procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through SAP S/4HANA capabilities, system automation, and process optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of SAP experience, including 2–3 years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong functional knowledge of at least one core SAP module (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, or EWM), with experience in application support and system enhancements.
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, system configuration, and troubleshooting; familiarity with CDS views and basic ABAP debugging is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
