JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Assistant Server supports the service team in creating welcoming and enjoyable dining experiences for Tigh-Na-Mara guests.

This hands-on role works closely with Servers and other Food & Beverage Team Members to support smooth and efficient service throughout Cedars Restaurant and Lounge, including welcoming and seating guests and assisting with guest flow.

The Assistant Server helps prepare and maintain dining and service areas, supports hosting and guest needs, and ensures the restaurant, lounge, and patio are clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome and greet guests, assist with seating, and help create a warm and positive first impression upon arrival.
• Support Servers in delivering welcoming, efficient, and attentive food and beverage service while assisting with guest needs throughout their dining experience.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly while helping maintain an organized dining room and smooth flow of service.
• Assist with hosting responsibilities, including managing guest arrivals, supporting reservations and waitlists, and communicating table availability with the service team.
• Ensure restaurant, lounge, patio, host, and service areas are clean, organized, stocked, and ready for use, including maintaining polished glassware, folded napkins, guest-facing materials, and service supplies.
• Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team while consistently following food safety, cleanliness, and Tigh-Na-Mara service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to take initiative throughout the shift.
• Professional, approachable, and comfortable welcoming and interacting with guests in a friendly and confident manner.
• Able to work efficiently, manage changing priorities, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, and move dishes, trays, and service supplies as required.

Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour plus gratuities
