Assistant Service Advisor – Customer Service & Sales

Longview, WA Full-Time Hourly Position

Art’s Automotive has been serving Cowlitz County since 1965. We’re looking for an outgoing, organized, customer-focused person to join our team as an Assistant Service Advisor. Automotive experience is NOT required.

Some of our best employees have come from retail, restaurants, coffee shops and other customer-service businesses. If you’re the person who remembers customers’ names, handles a busy counter without getting flustered, communicates well and enjoys helping people, we’d like to talk with you.

What you'll do

You’ll work alongside our experienced Service Advisors and Lead Technician while learning how to help customers through the automotive repair process.

· Greet customers and provide excellent customer service

· Answer phones and help schedule appointments

· Keep customers updated while their vehicles are being serviced

· Assist Service Advisors with estimates, repair orders and customer communication

· Follow up with customers who previously postponed or declined recommended repairs and help schedule the work when they’re ready

· Learn to explain maintenance and repair recommendations clearly and comfortably

· Keep appointments, customer information and repair orders organized

· Help keep work moving efficiently through the shop

· Learn our shop-management system

· Progress toward managing customers and repair orders independently as a Service Advisor

This isn’t simply a receptionist position. We’re looking for someone interested in developing into a professional Service Advisor.

Experience in retail, coffee shops, restaurants, hospitality, sales or other fast-paced customer-service environments is encouraged.

Automotive knowledge is helpful, but attitude, communication skills, organization and customer service are more important to us.

This is a full-time hourly position with on-the-job training and a defined opportunity to advance into a full Service Advisor role. You’ll learn from experienced Service Advisors and technicians while developing both automotive knowledge and professional sales skills.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
