What they need
VILLAGE MOTORSPORTS IS GROWING
WE'RE HIRING AN ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER
Are you ready to do more than just manage repair orders?
Village Motorsports is looking for an Assistant Service Manager who wants to help lead a team, solve problems, take care of customers, and build a career in the powersports and marine industry.
We're looking for someone who can step into a busy Service Department, understand what needs to happen next, and help make it happen.
Someone who can lead people, communicate with customers, support technicians, organize workflow, and take ownership when there's a problem.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
BE PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER
Village Motorsports is your local Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Polaris, Godfrey, Hurricane, Four Winns, and MasterCraft dealer, serving both the powersports and marine communities.
Our mission is simple:
Provide our customers with high-quality products and services at a fair price while providing our employees with a safe and enjoyable place to work.
We believe every employee is a key to our success.
We want our employees to have a voice, contribute ideas, develop their abilities, and have opportunities to advance.
We believe in being a pillar in our community, promoting the safe operation of the equipment we sell and service, and creating an experience our customers and employees are proud to be a part of.
We're looking for an Assistant Service Manager who believes in those same principles.
THIS IS A LEADERSHIP POSITION
You'll work directly with our Service Manager to help run the day-to-day operation of our Powersports & Marine Service Department.
You'll help lead Service Writers and technicians while keeping customers informed and work moving through the shop.
On any given day, you'll be:
- Helping organize and prioritize the shop's workload
- Monitoring open repair orders and identifying delays
- Supporting and coaching Service Writers
- Helping technicians get the information, parts, and authorizations they need
- Coordinating with our Parts Department
- Handling escalated customer concerns
- Helping manage scheduling and technician workload
- Monitoring repair quality and potential comebacks
- Improving communication between customers, technicians, Parts, and management
- Helping maintain a safe, organized, professional Service Department
- Stepping in to help lead the department when the Service Manager is unavailable
Your job isn't simply to identify problems. We want you to help solve them.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a person who is:
- A strong communicator
- Organized and dependable
- Comfortable making decisions
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Professional with customers
- Respected by coworkers
- Willing to hold people accountable
- Able to coach and develop employees
- Mechanically knowledgeable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
- Willing to take responsibility and follow through
Experience in powersports, marine, automotive, equipment, dealership service, or a similar repair environment is preferred.
Knowledge of motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft, boats, outboards, inboards, and trailers is a major plus.
But technical knowledge alone isn't enough.
We're looking for leadership, character, communication, accountability, and the desire to grow.
HELP BUILD THE TEAM — DON'T JUST MANAGE IT
We believe good managers don't simply point out mistakes.
They help people become better.
As Assistant Service Manager, you'll help train employees, recognize strong performance, coach people who need improvement, communicate expectations, and help identify future leaders within our organization.
We want someone who can earn the respect of the team by leading from the front.
GROW WITH THE VILLAGE
This position is an opportunity to become an important part of the leadership team at a growing powersports and marine dealership.
If you're looking for a position where you can take responsibility, contribute ideas, develop employees, solve problems, and build toward greater leadership opportunities, we'd like to talk to you.
We're building more than a dealership.
We're building a team our employees are proud to work for and a business our community is proud to support.
