Fidelis Academy and Protection Services is staffing security for a large industrial construction project in Axis, Alabama. We need front-line leaders who help run a shift, keep officers sharp and step in wherever the post needs them. All hiring happens in person at our open hiring event. What you'll do

• Back up the Shift Supervisor as the second leader on shift: help run briefings and check attendance, uniforms, equipment and readiness.
• Inspect posts and check on officers, fix routine problems on the spot and report bigger issues.
• Report no-shows and open posts right away and help keep every post covered.
• Know the posts well enough to train them, inspect them and stand them when needed.
• Support incident response: deploy officers, secure areas and make notifications as directed.
• Coach officers and document performance issues fairly and accurately.
• Help make sure Daily Activity Reports, incident reports and pass-downs are complete.

What you need

• At least 1 year of security, military or law enforcement experience.
• Reliable attendance and a clean disciplinary record.
• Working knowledge of post orders, access control and report writing.
• Able to give clear direction to officers and communicate professionally by radio and in person.
• Able to pass a background check, drug screen and E-Verify, and meet Alabama licensing requirements.

Physical demands

This is an active construction site. You must be able to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: stand and walk for an 8 to 12 hour shift, sit at a fixed post while staying alert, climb stairs, walk on uneven, rocky, muddy or gravel ground, work outdoors in heat, cold and rain, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and wear a hard hat, high-visibility vest, safety glasses and safety-toe boots for a full shift.
