Assistant Site Engineer

About the role

Assist in planning, coordinating, supervising and monitoring construction activities to ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with contract specifications, drawings and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily construction activities and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and method statements
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and workers on site, check workmanship and construction progress
• Assist in planning daily and weekly work schedules and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Attend site coordination meetings and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment and manpower
• Inspect completed works before consultant inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements
• Monitor project progress against the master programme and track daily productivity
• Prepare daily site progress reports and highlight delays with proposed recovery plans
• Study construction drawings and specifications, assist in resolving technical issues on site
• Monitor material usage and prevent wastage, check delivery quantities and material quality
• Liaise with consultants, clients and subcontractors to resolve site coordination issues promptly

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in Singapore construction projects is preferred.
