Assistant Site Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join a growing business with a clear route to becoming full Site Manager .

Based in Lane End near High Wycombe, the Assistant Site Manager will oversee the daily operation of a high-end residential site. Reporting to the Construction Director, the Assistant Site Manager will also work closely with the Head of Commercial who provides an experienced day-to-day presence on site and has detailed knowledge of the projects, subcontractors and current works.

Responsibilities

• Learning the drawings, programme and current position of the project
• Getting to know the subcontractors and direct labour
• Helping coordinate day-to-day activities
• Monitoring progress and quality
• Keeping the site organised, tidy and safe
• Following up subcontractors and actions
• Help with ordering and procurement
• Keeping records of progress, issues and decisions
• Completing the daily site diary, initially with support
• Taking on specific tasks and responsibilities delegated by the Construction Director

Progression

The intention is for the role to progress from Assistant Site Manager to Site Manager . As the person settles in and becomes confident within the role there is a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career within the business. The Assistant Site Manager position is the starting point, not the ceiling.
