Assistant Solar Project Manager

Location: Bolton

Salary : A GBP 24,000 : A GBP 36,000 per annum depending on experience

We are looking for an Assistant Solar Project Manager to provide support to our growing list of solar and battery projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in the renewable energy sector, supporting the delivery of a growing portfolio of projects and working alongside experienced engineers, subcontractors and clients.

Experience in solar PV, battery storage or EV charging would be a real advantage, but were equally interested in finding someone with the right technical aptitude, commercial awareness and enthusiasm to learn.

The Job Role

The requirement

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of solar PV and renewable energy projects.
• Support the development of technical proposals and project designs.
• Work closely with engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to keep projects on track.
• Assist with project budgets, cost control, purchase orders and supplier invoices
• Pricing remedial works and spotting opportunities to grow the account
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are essential.

Were looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to take ownership of their work, with the ability to balance technical detail with commercial priorities .

Youll Ideally Have

• Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
• The ability to understand technical proposals, support design development and manage project activities.
• Excellent numerical skills and good attention to detail.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• A good level of commercial awareness, including an understanding of project costs and budgets.
• A basic understanding of electrical systems and health and safety legislation.
• A practical, solutions:focused approach to problem:solving.

Experience in solar PV, battery storage or EV charging would be a real bonus.
