Assistant Sommelier

We are looking for a Assistant Sommelier based at The Aberdeen Marina Club!

As a Assistant Sommelier, we rely on you to:

• Provide professional wine recommendations and food pairing suggestions to enhance the guest dining experience.
• Support wine inventory management, wine list maintenance, and daily beverage operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Drive wine sales, assist in promotional activities, and deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining Shangri-La standards.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A recognized wine qualification (e.g. WSET, CMS or equivalent) with strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and beverage service.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or premium hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for guest engagement and a proactive, service-oriented attitude.
