ASSISTANT STATIONARY ENGINEER

Responsible for the proper operation of all heating, air conditioning, ventilation and utilities needed for a well maintained and safe Power Plant operation. Performs duties responsibilities a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Principle Accountabilities: % Of Time Spent

1. Responsible for monitoring Building Automation System. 15%

2. Responsible for making adjustments as needed to maintain a comfortable setting in the Hospital and surrounding buildings. 15%

3. Responsible for Hospital driving maintenance activity. 10%

4. Responsible for entering work orders on Maintenance work order system. 15%

5. Field phone calls. Call the "on call" staff for advice when problems surface. 10%

6. Possess knowledge on how to take down boiler, switch boilers and bring a boiler on line. 10%

7. Responsible for completing plant rounding forms and document readings. 10%

8. Performs all other duties as assigned. 15%

Employee is required to sit continuously and walk occasionally. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) medium (21-50 lbs.) and heavy (50 lbs. +) load frequently. Employee may be required to lift over 100 lbs. with assistance. Employee is frequently required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift waist to overhead. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. For repetitive action, employee is required to use both hands for simple grasping and pushing/pulling. Employee is occasionally exposed to electrical hazards and CRT terminal work. (Occasionally: 1-33%, Frequently: 34-66%, Continuously: 67-100%) The most significant of duties are included but this does not exclude occasional work assignments not mentioned or developmental duties.
