Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, achieving sales targets, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading the store team. The role involves supervising staff, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service

• Assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a premium shopping experience.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Promote ongoing offers, loyalty programs, and new product launches.
• Monitor individual team performance and encourage upselling and cross-selling.

Store Operations

• Assist in managing daily store operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained.
• Monitor store cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational guidelines.

Team Management

• Supervise and motivate the sales team.
• Allocate daily duties and monitor employee productivity.
• Train and coach new employees on products, customer service, and company policies.
• Maintain employee discipline, attendance, and grooming standards.

Inventory Management

• Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment.
• Assist in conducting stock audits and physical verification.
• Minimize inventory losses through proper stock control.
• Coordinate with warehouse and merchandising teams for stock movement.

Cash & Compliance

• Assist in cash handling, billing, and daily cash reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain accurate store documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Commerce, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 2-5 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Jewellery retail experience will be preferred.
