What they need
About the Role: London is renowned for its vibrant food culture and relentless pace, and at Pura Vita Açaí Ltd, we bring that same energy to serving high-quality, fresh, and nutritious superfoods. We believe fast-casual food should be both incredibly healthy and genuinely exciting. We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to take ownership of our daily shop operations. You aren't just managing shifts; you are driving the guest experience, leading an ambitious team, and setting the tone on the floor. You will bridge the gap between back-of-house operations and front-of-house hospitality, serving as the champion for operational excellence and team morale.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Located in the heart of London, our shop is a high-energy, modern space built around fresh ingredients, fast pacing, and positive interactions.
- Operational Respect: We know that a great store relies on great leadership. Your insights, operational decisions, and leadership style directly influence our growth from Day 1.
- Modern Systems: We utilize sleek, digital POS systems and inventory platforms, making team management, scheduling, and stock tracking direct and efficient.
- Growth: As we continue to expand across London, we actively invest in our team leaders, providing clear pathways to Store Manager roles and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Operations Ownership: Lead daily shifts, maintain store presentation, and ensure smooth service flow during peak trading hours.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, train, and inspire line staff and team members. Deliver constructive feedback to keep standards and team spirit high.
- Guest Experience: Maintain exceptional standards of customer service, resolving guest inquiries quickly and creating a welcoming store atmosphere.
- Inventory & Food Safety: Assist with stock control, waste reduction, and inventory management while strictly enforcing health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Sales & Performance Management: Collaborate with the Store Manager to drive sales targets, manage labor efficiency, and maintain operational profitability.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years in retail, food service, or hospitality, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or shift leadership role.
- Proven Track Record: A background of leading teams in fast-paced retail or fast-casual food environments. Show us how you've led shifts, boosted morale, and handled high volume.
- Skillset: Strong operational focus, excellent communication, and comfort using modern scheduling and POS tools.
- Language Skills: English (Fluent) is required for managing daily store operations, customer interactions, and team communication.
- Mindset: You are proactive, calm under pressure, and dedicated to quality—knowing when to maintain high standards and how to keep a team moving efficiently during peak rush hours.
Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Cycle to work scheme
- Health & wellbeing programme
