Duties

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Lead and motivate sales associates to achieve sales goals through effective team management and coaching
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product visibility and sales performance
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees
• Oversee cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and payroll processing with accuracy and attention to detail
• Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and product knowledge
• Supervise shift management, ensuring smooth operational flow during all hours of operation
• Implement pricing strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising plans aligned with company standards
• Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety, and store presentation

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and communicate clearly
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, inventory management, and scheduling
• Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, basic accounting, and cash handling procedures
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, and operational management strategies
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development is highly desirable
• Knowledge of retail product lines, merchandising techniques, and inventory control practices
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and managerial communication expertise
