Assistant Store Manager

Role Overview:

The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations by assisting with supervision, merchandise management, and customer service to ensure a clean, organized store focused on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, operate cash register, and assist with checkout.
• Help with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, display setup, and inventory control.
• Assist in maintaining financial accuracy through cash handling, refunds, overrides, and bank deposits.
• Support store management in their absence and ensure adherence to security and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret documents, perform basic math, and handle cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling, security policies, and store operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience and supervisory skills preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
• Fast-paced environment with occasional outdoor exposure and driving for bank deposits or store visits.
