Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in supervising daily retail operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory experience in sales teams

• Sales Associate Responsibilities:
• Sales Associates are instrumental in achieving sales targets by warmly welcoming customers upon entry, actively engaging with them on the showroom floor to fulfill their needs, and expressing gratitude for their patronage upon departure.
• Sales Associates are dedicated to understanding our members' product offerings and individual sales profiles, ensuring personalized service and tailored recommendations for each customer interaction.
• Sales Associates are required to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales.
• Each sales team member is expected to achieve an average daily sales target of $3,500, or an amount determined by your store manager approved by Operations Manager.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Participate in a brief 7-minute stand-up huddle with the team each morning before the store opens and again at day's end, focusing on KPIs, members, and customer needs.
• Assist customers and members with any inquiries they may have.
• Wear the WM apron while on duty.
• Consistently patrol the sales floor, offering assistance to customers, while ensuring that no more than one staff member remains behind the front desk at any given time unless checking a customer out.
• Handle customer purchases by checking them out, wrapping and bagging items, and completing pickup paperwork immediately after the sale for items not taken on the spot.
• Manage incoming phone calls.
• Continuously maintain a strong understanding of our members' product offerings by actively engaging with the showroom floor and assisting customers, ensuring familiarity with our entire range.
• Keep the sales floor inviting by fluffing pillows, organizing seating arrangements, and straightening shelves.
• Ensure the store is always customer-ready by promptly returning items to their proper place throughout the day.
• Follow up with customers who haven't picked up purchased items within 24 hours and notify management and members of any issues, such as missing tags.
• Display a positive and helpful attitude towards members and customers at all times.
• Check and promptly respond to emails sent to [email protected].
• Maintain organization by straightening and organizing items within the booth or on the sales floor, and refolding or reorganizing items that customers have disturbed.
• Return items to their designated space or booth if they are found in the wrong location.
• Follow up with customers regarding items on a 48-hour trial period or special orders.
• Greet and engage with everyone within a 6-foot radius.
• Immediately report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or concerns to the manager on duty.
• Dispose of any debris or trash found on the floor.
• Notify the warehouse upon the arrival of delivery trucks.
• Ensure only one person is behind the front counter at any given time, except when assisting customers with checkout.
• Deliver timely and attentive assistance to both customers and members, ensuring their inquiries and needs are promptly addressed with effectiveness and care.
• Consistently uphold a positive and supportive demeanor towards every member and customer encountered.
• Complete customer pickup paperwork immediately after a sale if the product is not picked up on the spot.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Westside Market's policies and procedures.

Sales Floor Maintenance:

• Maintain an inspiring ambiance on the sales floor by meticulously presenting products, which includes fluffing pillows, arranging chairs around dining tables, and tidying shelves.
• Sustain the store's cleanliness and appeal by promptly returning items to their designated spots throughout the day. Reach out to customers who haven't retrieved purchased items within 24 hours to ensure smooth transactions.
• Promptly notify management of any concerns regarding members' items, such as missing tags, for swift resolution.

REDUNDANCY

Sales Counter and Jewelry Case:

• Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the sales counter and jewelry case.
• Stock necessary supplies, such as shopping bags, receipts, and promotional materials, at the sales counter.

Member Interaction:

• Support member interactions to guarantee they receive courteous and prompt service.

**Safety and Awareness:**​

• Report any potential safety hazards or security concerns immediately to the manager on duty.

REDUNDANCY

Break Area Cleaning:

• All Associates are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the break area after themselves, including the refrigerator.
• They will periodically evaluate the contents of the refrigerator, disposing of expired items and ensuring cleanliness and organization.

Group Store Walkthrough:

• Participate in a group store Walkthrough with the sales team on the last Wednesday of each month. This evaluation assesses the store's overall appearance and identifies areas requiring attention or improvement.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk on the store floor for up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
