We’re continuing to grow – and we’re excited to be opening our brand-new store in Taupo.

About the opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and engaging Assistant Store Manager to join our new Taupo team. Your onboarding would start from mid-November.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help lead the team, drive sales and create the warm, personalised customer experience Wallace Cotton is known for.

You’ll be hands-on on the shop floor, supporting the day-to-day running of the store and stepping up to lead when the Store Manager isn’t there. And as part of a brand-new store, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the team and store culture from day one.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting, coaching and motivating the store team
• Driving sales and contributing to store targets
• Creating an exceptional customer experience
• Bringing the Wallace Cotton brand to life through beautiful store presentation
• Supporting day-to-day store operations, including stock and store standards
• Taking the lead and ensuring the store runs smoothly in the Store Manager’s absence

About you

You’re a confident, hands-on retailer who loves customers, enjoys helping others succeed and is ready to take on more leadership responsibility.

You’ll bring:

• Retail experience, ideally with some team leadership or supervisory responsibility
• A passion for sales and delivering great results
• Confidence coaching and supporting others
• A warm, engaging and customer-focused approach
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• A positive and collaborative attitude

You may already be an Assistant Store Manager, or you could be an experienced senior retailer ready for your next step.
