Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and helps ensure strong execution across sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory, and team performance. This role will also serve as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Store Manager with daily store operations and opening/closing procedures

* Supervise and support part-time associates during daily shifts

* Assist with employee scheduling, training, coaching, and performance follow-up

* Help maintain strong customer service and resolve customer issues

* Support sales goals and monitor daily sales floor performance

* Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, priced, stocked, and organized

* Assist with receiving, inventory counts, replenishment, damages, and inventory accuracy

* Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards

* Support POS operations, cash handling, and daily reports

* Communicate staffing, inventory, customer, and operational issues to the Store Manager

* Act as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is not present

* Assist with new store setup and opening activities as needed

Qualifications

* 2–4 years of retail experience, including supervisory or assistant management experience

* Furniture, home furnishings, or big-box retail experience preferred

* Strong customer service and team leadership skills

* Hands-on and comfortable working on the sales floor

* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

* Experience with POS, inventory, and scheduling systems preferred

* Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $4,400.00 - $4,500.00 per month
