Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for a responsible, hands on and sales driven Assistant Store Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years’ management experience in the food industry, with strong experience in both front of house and back of house operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 or Diploma
• 3+ years’ management experience in the food industry
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management position
• Strong front-of-house & back-of-house experience
• Experience with stock taking and stock control
• Experience managing and supervising staff
• Strong customer service and customer interaction skills
• Sales-driven and target-focused
• Good operational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Responsible, reliable and accountable
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Must live within a 15 km radius of Wonderpark
• Reliable transport is essential

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Assist with the daily running of the store
• Ensure smooth front-of-house and back-of-house operations
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed

Staff Management

• Supervise, manage and motivate staff
• Assist with staff scheduling and training
• Monitor staff performance and productivity
• Lead by example and maintain a positive team environment

Stock & Back of House

• Conduct regular stock counts and stock taking
• Monitor stock levels and inventory
• Control wastage and ensure correct stock rotation
• Assist with receiving and checking deliveries
• Ensure proper storage and handling of stock

Customers & Sales

• Deliver excellent customer service
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
• Drive sales and assist in achieving store targets
• Monitor daily sales performance
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer experience

Location Requirement

Applicants must live within a 15 km radius of Wonderpark Shopping Centre.
